Hello Fellas!

Today's post is little different, some of you have been emailing me to write a post about " places to visit in Guwahati" for quite sometime now.. So, in this post I will try give you a bit of information..

Guwahati is the largest city in the state of Assam. It's located beside the mighty Brahmaputra river. Guwahati is also referred as the "gateway to northeast India". This is city is an example of ancient history and modernization.

1. Kamakhya Temple -

Guwahati is the home of so many old temples but kamakhya temple is the most prominent and  visited temple here in Guwahati. This Temple is dedicated to goddess Maa Kamakhya,it is one of the 51 saktipith in India. Maa Kamakhya temple is located in the nilachal nill (there are more then 20 other temples apart from Maa Kamakhya temple in the nilachal hills). This temple hosts the ambubashi mela in the month of July every year. The large number of pilgrims come to seek blessings from Maa Kamakhya in this mela every year from across the country. When you are in Guwahati the Kamakhya maa's darshan is must..

2.Umananda Island-

This island located in the heart of mighty Brahmaputra. Umananda is world's smallest riverine island,it is also known as peacock island. There is a lord Shiva's temple named umnanda temple.
This Shiva temple was built in the island by the well known Shaivaite king of the Ahoms.

3. Assam State Museum-

Museum is the best place to understand the history and culture of a state or country.
If you want to know about the local folklore and culture, a visit to the Assam State Museum is must do thing, which gives you an authentic taste of the local history and its development through the years.

4.Guwahati Tea Auction Centre -

Assam is famous for its tea production and there is also a tea auction center situated in Guwahati

You can take a walk down the lanes of rich ancient cultural heritage of the state of Assam and you can also watch many cultural events held here every now and then.

6.Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary -

Technically this place is not in Guwahati but few km away from the city. It's a wildlife reserve located in the Morigaon district of Assam. It's 2 hrs drive from Guwahati to Pobitora. If you are an admirer of wildlife and nature then you should definitely go there while you're in Guwahati.

Winter Hair Care

Hello fellas!

Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapists".

Problems like hair fall, split ends, dull & damaged hair are the common in almost every women because of pollution, hair coloring, frequent uses of heating tools for styling our hair etc. If you want to keep your hair healthy and strong then you must follow a hair care regime.
So, today I will be talk you through the easy and simple hair care routine that I'm following this winter to keep keep away these hair problems.

1.Oiling -

The first step is oiling your hair, oiling our hair at least once a week is a must do thing no matter wether it is winter or summer. These days I'm using only olive oil for my hair.. I take 3-4 tbsp of olive oil, warm it up and massage it gently on my scalp and hair length.. Messaging oil will increase the blood circulation and olive oil promotes hair growth, makes your hair soft. It can also reduce split ends. Some times I leave the oil on for 1-2 hrs or sometimes for overnight.. If you have excessive hair fall then mix castor oil with olive oil or you can use some of Khadi hair oils..(I have written a detail post regarding this I will link it down below)..

https://escapistsisters.blogspot.in/2018/01/best-hair-oils-to-reduce-hair-fall.html?m=1

2.Shampoo and conditioner  -

The 2nd step is washing your hair with a mild shampoo because it's winter so,we need to use something moisturizing for hair.. I'm using TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo infused with olive oil and camellia oil.. This shampoo gently cleanses your hair, nourishes it and leaves hair feeling soft and moisturised. After shampooing we must not skip the conditioner, for conditioner I'm using  Garnier Ultra blends 5 precious herbs consider.. This conditioner doesn't make your hair fall flat, add volume to your hair also nourishes them. This shampoo & conditioner is paraben and chemical free.

3. Hair Mask -

Our hair care routine is incomplete without a hair mask. Hair mask makes your hair stronger, softer and healthy. It will also reduce your hair fall. These days I'm using Oriflame HairX Restore Therapy Mask..This mask makes your hair so soft without weighing it down, also add little bit of volume to them. If you are someone, who uses heating and styling tool everyday then you must try this oriflame mask which helps in repairing dry and damaged hair and also prevent your hair from further damaging..

Also I love using DIY hair masks and I keep switching my DIY hair masks time to time but in winters I love to curd, honey and lemon hair mask.. Take 3 tbsp of curd,2 tbsp of honey and add half a lemon juice in it,mix them then apply from your scalp to hair tip and wash it off after 30 minutes.. This mask help in strengthen, nourishes the hair and also helps in reducing dandruff which is a common problem during winters.. I use hair mask thrice a month..

4. Serum -

After washing your hair, pet it dry with a towel and when your hair is in damp state apply a hair serum on your hair length. It will give shine to your hair and also moisturises your hair. Currently I am using my all time  favorite serum liveon which I think doesn't need any introduction!!

5.Biotique Mountain Ebony Vitalizing Serum-

I have been using biotique mountain ebony serum for quite some time now, though it's called a serum but the texture of this product is very watery and you need to massage it on your scalp.. It reduces hair fall and makes your hair strong.. I love to massage my hair with this serum every night before going to bed.. (Detail review is already up on my blog about this serum. If you haven't checked it yet,I  will link it down)

Daily Skincare Regime

Hello fellas !

Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapists".

Its been a while I have not posted anything on blog as I was busy enjoying  durga puja 😁 . Hope you guys also had fun festive time with your family and friends.   Today's post is a requested one. In this post I will be talk you through my daily skincare regime.  Many of you have DM me asking for this post. So, here you go.....

Everybody should follow a daily skin care routine whether they have oily, dry or normal skin in order to make your skin healthy. It's very basic and hardly takes 10 minutes only, all you need to do is to choose right products according to your skin type. I have dry skin so,all the products I will be mentioning worked perfectly well for me. The steps of a basic skincare process followed by CTM which is cleansing,Toning, moisturizing but I divided my skincare into 6 Steps.

1.Cleansing -

This is first step of skincare. Take pea sized amount of face wash or cleansing gel and rub gently on your face and wash it off with water. It will remove the dirt or the access oil from your face. I'm using biotique bio neem purifying face wash. It's a very nice face wash that prevents pimples and this face wash is suitable for all skin types.

For night time skincare before washing your face, if you have any make up on make sure to remove  your make up first with the help of a makeup remover or cleansing balm and then wash your face with a face wash.

2.Exfoliate -

After cleaning your face you  need to exfoliate your skin but not everyday. I usually do it twice a week. So this 2nd step is an occasional one. It will help you to remove dead skin cells that clog your pores, blackheads, whiteheads and makes your skin brighten and healthy.

These days I'm using biotique bio papaya tan removal scrub. This scrub is also for suitable for all skin types. I can't thank biotique enough for  introduceing  such an amazing product. Just try it guys I promise you won't regret it. So, apply the scrub onto your face and massage gently in circular motion for 3-4minutes then rinse off with cold water.

3.Face pack -

These days Pollution, Harmful UV rays of sun, stress etc are damaging our skin as a result our skin become dull, dry, unhealthy and full of acne.

So Face packs are must have skin care product to deal with all the above mentioned problems. Face packs helps in enhance the blood circulation,Clam your skin and makes your skin soft, healthy, youthful and radiant. But this step is also not for everyday, you can use face packs  twice a week.

You can use any face pack of your choice that suits your skin or you can make your own natural face packs. These days I'm using aromamagic insta radiance green tea pack and jeva activated charcoal face pack.

All you need to do is just apply the face pack evenly all over your face and neck leaving your eyes & eye brows with the help of a flat brush or your hands but make sure to clean your brush and hands before applying the pack. Let it dry for 15 minutes and rinse off with cold water.

4.Toning -  The 4th step is Toning but it will be 2nd step on the days when you don't use scrub and face pack.Toning is most important part of our skin care. Toners refresh our skin, tighten the skin pores, restores skin's pH balance, it removes all the remaining dirt and oil which are present even after cleansing  your face. Most of the toners  comes with spray dispenser so that you can directly spray it onto your  face but if your toner doesn't have spray dispenser then use a cotton pad to apply it. I am using aromamagic aromatic skin toner and Kama Ayurveda pure lavender water, these two has been my absolute favorite form quite a long time.

5.Moisturizer -

After toning you need to moisturize your sikn. Everybody knows the benefits of a moisturizer. It hydrates your skin and make the skin soft supple, glowing and gives the full nourishment to skin.

You can use any moisturizing cream or lotion that suits your skin. Currently I'm using biotique bio morning nectar visibly flawless moisturiser. It nourishes the skin and gives much needed hydration to my skin. Though biotique nectar moisturiser says it's for all skin types but it doesn't suit oily skin people. (For oily skin people you can try neutrogena oil free moisturizer)

Take the right quantity of moisturiser according to your need, rub it between your plumes and apply gentlely in circular motion on to your face in upward direction.

6.Sun screen -

Sunscreen protects us form harmful rays of sun. There are two types of rays that damage our skin, they are UVA (Ultra Violate Aging) & UVB (Ultra Voilate  Burning). UVA rays are goes deep into the layers of our sikn and causes wrinkles and aging and UVB rays are responsible for upper most sun burn layer that causes tanning. So,we must not skip on sunscreen otherwise your whole skincare regime will go in vain. We need to wear sunscreen everyday after using our moisturizer to protect our skin whether it is summer, winter or monsoon. I love using neutrogena  Ultra Sheer dry touch sunscreen SPF 50+. It's a light weight sunscreen that suitable for every skin type. And these days I'm also loving biotique bio carrot SPF 40+ sunscreen. (Review will be up soon about this on my blog).

For the night time skincare -

After cleansing and toning, I massage my skin with aloe Vera gel and then apply a night cream. Night cream is very essential for our skin as it helps in repairing the damage of our skin throughout the night that our skin go through all the day due to pollution and stress and gives you a healthy and glowing skin. These days I'm using biotique bio wheatgrem Youthful Nourishing Night Cream and for aloe vera gel I use patanjali aloe gel.

You can use any product that suits you but make sure your products are free of chemicals and parabens. All the above mentioned products are 100% paraben free. So undoubtedly you can give them a try.  You will get all the products on great discount from Nykaa.com except the patanjali aloe vera gel.

3 Different Ways To Use Coffee

Hello Fellas!

Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapists".

Today's post is going to about how we can use coffee in our beauty regime. Almost every person love drinking coffee except me😁 but when it comes to skin care I love using coffee because it has so many skin benefits. So, let's begin with the post.

1. Coffee For Reducing Puffy Eyes -

Coffee is rich in antioxidants that helps in shrink the blood vessels and reduces the puffiness of eyes. Here I'm sharing 2 ways to de puff your eyes.

Make some coffee ice cubes, wrap it in a cotton or muslin cloth and put over your eyes for 4-6 minutes. Do it everyday at least for 10 days to see the good result.

Another way is take some egg white in a bowl ,put 1 or 2 tea spoon of coffee powder in it,mix the ingredients well and apply the mask under your eyes, (avoid your eyelids) keep it on for 7 - 10 minutes then gently wipe off with the help of a wet cloth. If you want you can apply this mask all over your face as well, apart from reducing puffiness of eyes this mask also helps in reducing fine lines. Use this mask twice a week.

2. Coffee As Exfoliator -

Coffee works great for exfoliating dead skin cells, de-taning skin. Take 1-2 table spoon of coffee powder, add 2 tea spoon for olive oil or coconut oil in it. Mix them a bit and start exfoliating your face for 3-4 minutes. You can scrub your hands and legs with this as well. It will remove all the dead skin cells, dirt & impurities from your skin and makes your skin soft and supple. Use this scrub once a week.

3. Coffee Face Mask For Glowing Skin -

If you  have dry skin, take 2 tea spoon of coffee powder, add milk as a mixing ingredient if you want you can also add few drops of you favorite essential oil,mix them together until it forms a paste like consistency. Apply it all over your face leaving your eyes, keep it on for 10 minutes then rinse off with water. It will make your skin soft and glowing. Use this mask once a week.

If you have oily skin and acne prone skin then take 2 tea spoon of coffee powder, add 1 tea spoon of honey in it and use rose water or cucumber juice as the mixing ingredient. Mix them altogether and apply the paste all over face leaving your eyes, leave it on for 10 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water. It will not only give you glowing skin but also gonna reduce the oiliness of your skin and prevent acne too . Use this mask once a week.

Review - Oriflame Optimals Even Out Day cream SPF 20

Hello Fellas!

Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapists".  First of all wish you all a very happy Eid.

    Today I will be reviewing

"Oriflame optimals even out day cream SPF 20 dark spot reduction".

I have been using this cream from 2-3 months now, so I thought to share my views on this with you guys. This oriflame cream comes in a glass tub packaging. Packaging is sturdy but not travel friendly because it's in glass tube and I don't feel it's good to take glass container while traveling. The consistency of the product is white creamy but light weight it spreads easily on the skin and doesn't leave any white caste behind. This cream is specifically meant for treatment blemishes, dark spots, hyperpigmentation. It is enrich with vitamin E and has spf 20 with UV filter. After cleansing and toning apply this cream on your face every day,  it is very hydrating and moisturises your skin so well.  This cream really reduces the appearance of the blemishes, acne marks and helps in even out the skin tone and the SPF & UV filter prevent the further skin damage caused by harmful sun rays. This cream is not going to make overnight difference, you need to use this religiously for a month at least to see the desired result but if you are someone who facing hyperpigmentation problem then need to be patient because it takes a longer time to reduce hyperpigmentation. I like the most about this cream that it doesn't break you out and also smell nice.

I won't say that its a must have cream for them who are facing these skin issues, there are some other drak spots reduction cream that works better but you can give this cream a try.

Pros - 1. It has mild fragrance.

            2.  It doesn't break you out.

            3. Live up to its claim.

 Cons- 1. Not travel friendly.

            2. It is on the pricerer side.

            3. Quantity is less in compere to the price.

It retails 934 Rs for 50ml . You can get this cream from Nykaa.com and Amazon.in on discount.
