Uses Of Activated Charcoal
Hello Fellas!
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist" .
Today's post is about activated charcoal and I am also going share a quick review on jeva activated charcoal face pack with argan oil and The Beauty Co. Coconut Shell Activated Charcoal Instant Teeth Whitening Powder.
Activated charcoal is on trend these days. It's nothing but common charcoal that has been heated to increase its adsorptive power. When it comes to treating skin problems or skin care, charcoal has some amazing benefits. It detoxifies your skin, reduce blemishes and acne scars, improve skin complexion, prevent acne causing germs, remove blackheads & whiteheads and many more.
There are lots of good brands in the market selling activated charcoal peel off masks, face packs, charcoal powder and also sheet masks. You can choose anything among them. Generally I don't like the peel off masks as they hurt a lot while peeling it off from the skin, but it's very effective. So, I use activated charcoal face packs and "Jeva Activated Charcoal Face Pack With Argan Oil" is my favorite. It detox your skin so well by sucking out all the dirt, impurities, access oil and keeps your pores clean. It also reduces the pimples, it's scars and other dark spots on face. It has argan oil that's why it hydrates and moisturise the skin as argan oil is rich in vitamin E and it also helps in keeping up the natural glow of skin and also shoots irritation.
It retails 499Rs. for 100 gm. It's widely available online,I got mine from Nykaa.com in 350 Rs. on sale.
#For Removing blackheads & whiteheads, use a peel off activated charcoal mask. Take the little bit of product on a flat brush and apply it wherever you have blackheads & whiteheads. Let it be for 10-12 minutes and peel it off. Use peel off mask twice a month. For peel off mask you can try the jeva activated charcoal peel off mask with argan oil.
#For detoxifying your skin apply a thin layer of activated charcoal face pack of your choice all over your face and neck leaving you eyes and eyebrows. Keep it on for 10-12 minutes then rinse off with normal water. It's going to remove all the dirt, impurities from your skin, also purifies clogged pores, reduce acne marks, blemishes and prevent acne causing bacterias too. Use activated charcoal face packs thrice a month.
#Activated Charcoals also can be for lighten the dark under arms.I love using my jeva activated charcoal face pack for my under amrs, it does a pretty decent job. But if you have very dark under amrs then you need activated charcoal powder. Take 2 teaspoon of activated charcoal powder, add 1 teaspoon of honey and few drops of lemon juice in it. Mix them together and apply it on your under arms with the help of a flat brush, leave it on for 10 minutes wash it off with normal water. Use this method once in a week.
#You can use activated charcoal for teeth whitening. Just make sure to use the charcoal powder which are specifically meant for your teeth. You will find many in the market but I will suggest you to use "The Beauty Co. Coconut Shell Activated Charcoal Instant Teeth Whitening Powder" this one is really good and apart from instantly blighting up your teeth ,it removes all kinds of stains from your teeth, helps to reduce teeth problems, strengthen your gums and also controls bad breath. This charcoal powder has a minty flavor that feels so refreshing which I like the most about it. All you need to do is just dip your wet brush in the powder and start brushing your teeth for 1-2 minutes like you usually do. You will see the results from the first use itself.
The Beauty Co. Coconut Shell Activated Charcoal Instant Teeth Whitening Powder" retails for 599 Rs. which sounds a bit pricey but a single tub can last for good 3-4 months. So for me it's a value for money product as it lasts for good amount of time, it has no harmful chemicals and it gives you the desired results.

Review - Nivea Aloe Hydration Body Lotion
Hello Fellas!
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".
In this post I'm gonna share my review on " Nivea Aloe Hydration Body Lotion".
Nivea aloe hydration body lotion is a newly launch product by nivea.
It comes in white plastic bottle with a flip top cap and the bigger bottle comes with a pump dispenser. Packaging is very sturdy and travel friendly, the consistency of this body lotion neither thick or nor runny. It has serum and aloe vera infused in it, so because of the serum it gets absorb quickly in the skin and the aloe vera helps to hydrate & refresh your skin and it smells amazing. It doesn't feel greasy at all and also don't make you sweat a lot like some other body lotions does in summers.
This is so far the best edition by nivea in the the list of body lotion for summer. I have been using this one from the past 10 days and I just love this aloe hydration body lotion. It gives the proper hydration, moisturise the skin so well, also gives very refreshing feeling whenever I applied the lotion on my skin and it makes my skin so soft. It suits all skin types but if you have very flaky dry skin then probably this one won't work for you. This body lotion claims to give 48 hrs hydration but that's not true. The hydration last for good 5 -6 hrs but not 48 hrs. I think this lotion is specifically meant for summers,in winters this might not work.
I think everyone should must give nivea aloe hydration body lotion a try.
Pros- 1.Inexpensive.
2. Travel friendly.
3. Hydrate skin so well.
4. Summer friendly lotion.
5. Smells nice.
Cons- The the only con according to me that it does not have SPF.
I hope they will launch this particular lotion with SPF soon.π
It comes in 3 different sizes.
1. 75 ml - 80 Rs.
2. 200 ml - 210 Rs.
3. 400 ml - 365 Rs.
You will get this even cheaper from Nykaa.com
Hope you guys like this post. If you have any queries or suggestions please let me know.

5 Other Ways To Use Lipstick
Hello Fellas!
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".
If you ask a woman, what is her favorite part of makeup,I'm pretty sure she will replied " Lipstick!!". We all love wearing lipstick. It makes our makeup look complete but in this post I will tell you about few other ways to use lipstick for your make up. So keep on reading.
1.Lipstick For Contour - If you have brown colour lipstick then you can use it for contouring your face. I will suggest you to use matte lipstick for contouring but not the liquid ones. Use your fingers to blend it and you are good to go. Believe me it works as those expensive contour pallettes. I use lakme enrich crayon cinnamon brown to contour,it's amazing.
2. Lipstick As colour corrector - I guess most of us know this trick to use an orange lipstick to colour correct our face. Use an orange lipstick on your dark circles, blemishes and any other discoloration on face, blend it a bit with your fingers and then apply your foundation over it. No need to apply concealer after that (for me orange lipstick and foundation works perfect,I don't feel the need of applying concealer over it). If you have very heavy dark circles then use a red lipstick instead of orange to colour correct your face.
3.Lipstick As Eye shadow - Use any lipstick of your choice whether it is matte, shimmery, bullet lipstick, crayons or liquid. Just make sure to put the right amount of product on your eyelids and blend it nicely. If you are using bullet or crayons lipstick then first take the product on your fingertip after that apply it on your eyelids and in case of liquid lipstick put a little bit ( as liquid lipstick are very pigmented,so apply a small amount) of product on your eyelids and blend it with the help of a brush.
4. Lipstick As Blush - Take little bit of your pink or peach colour lip shade on your finger tip, apply it on your cheeks then blend and you are done. It will give the natural pinkish glow to your cheeks. I will suggest you to use bullet lipstick as a blush.
5. Lipstick To Fill in Eyebrows - If have very bushy eyebrows and you only need a bit of touch up on your brows then use a dark brown colour lipstick to fill in your brows and if your eyebrows are not that bushy then use a lighter shade of brown lipstick. Take the product on an angled brush and fill in your eyebrows patiently and no one can detect that you have done your brows with lipstick. I use this lakme one to fill in my brows which I have upload here (I got back this lakme lipstick in 2016. I think lamke don't sale this particular type of lipstick any more).
These are few different uses of lipstick which come really handy most when you are traveling as you don't need to pack plenty of make-up products.

Hello Fellas!
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".
Today's post is about different uses of oatmeal, popularly known as oats for skin. We all know that oatmeal is very good breakfast to start our day. It fights against many health issues and helps us in living a healthy life. Apart from being healthy, oats is amazingly beneficial for our skin when we apply it.
Oatmeal is rich in antioxidants. It has amazing skin healing, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties that helps to repair damaged, dry, itchy skin and also cure inflammation. So,let's begin with the post.
1. Oatmeal Scrub - Take 1 table spoon grounded oats (not finely ground), add 1 tea spoon of honey and little bit of rose water. Mix them well and exfoliate your face for 4-5 minutes then rinse off with cold water. You can also use this scrub to exfoliate your body. It will gentlely exfoliate your skin removing all the dirt, excess oil, dead skin cells and gives you a clear skin. Use this scrub twice a week.
2. Oatmeal For Itchy Skin - In summers most people faced skin problems like itching and rashes, but oats can surely solve your problem. All you need to do,if you have bathtub at your home then filled your bathtub with lukewarm water, pour 1 cup finely ground oats in the water and soak yourself in the oatmeal water for 20 minutes then rinse yourself with normal water.
If you do not have bathtub at your home then all you need to do is cook a bowl of oats and keep it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. After that wet your body and apply the oatmeal on your body or wherever you have itchiness or redness, keep it on for 10-15mintus then wash off with normal water. You can use this oatmeal bath everyday if you have very itchy skin or else use it thrice a week.
PS - the 2nd process is a "jugar"π. Actually for itchy skin you need to soak yourself in oatmeal. But I don't have bathtub at my home and I started thinking how to use oatmeal bath without a bathtub and I came up with this jugaru idea. Believe me it works,I myself use this jugaru oatmeal bath.
3. Oatmeal For Glowing Skin -Take 1 tablespoon of finely ground oatmeal, add a pinch of turmeric and little bit of water for mixing the ingredients.Apply the paste on your clean face leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse off. It will give a natural glow to your dull skin. Use this pack once a week religiously to get the desired result.
4. Oats For De-Tan Skin- Tanning is the common problem during summers, due to harsh sunlight our skin become tan even after wearing sunscreen. For lighting your sun taned skin all you need to do is take 1-2 table spoon of finely ground oatmeal, add 2 - 3 tablespoon of milk and one teaspoon of honey. Mix the ingredients until you get a paste like consistency and apply it on your face or wherever you feel like applying it to de-tan you skin, wait for 10-15 minutes and scrub it off after that wash off with normal water. Use this pack twice a week. You will started noticing the difference after the use only.
5.Oats For Hydrating Dry Skin And Remove Blackheads- For Hydrating your dry patchy skin take 2 tablespoon of oats, add table spoon of curd and few drops of essential oil of your choice. Mix the ingredients all together and apply the mask on your face ,keep it on for 8-10 minutes then rinse off with normal water. It's going to give your skin the much needed hydration and moisturise your skin at the same time. Use this mask once a week.
For removing blackheads all the above mentioned ingredients remain the same, you just need add few drops of lemon and one teaspoon of honey in it and apply the paste only where you have blackheads. Leave it on for 10 minutes and scrub it off then wash off with normal water. Use this twice a week.

Random Post
Hello Fellas!
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".
Some of you are asking me after reading my post " Hair Packs Using Amla Powder" https://escapistsisters.blogspot.in/2018/03/hair-packs-using-amla-powder.html?m=1 that which amla powder is best. So I thought to answer this through this small blog post. There are many good brands in the market selling amla powder but I haven't tried so many of amla powder,so I can suggest you only 2 of them which I have tried for far.
1.I have been using Banjara's amla powder for quite a long time now. I must say banjara's amla powder is really good. It retails for 60 Rs. for 100gm.
2. Another one which I started using recently is Khadi Organic amla powder. This amla powder is also works amazingly. It retails for 179 Rs. for 150 gm.
You guys can give these 2 amla powder a try. Whenever you want to apply only amla powder hair mask without mixing it with any other ingredients just make sure to add few drops of olive oil or coconut oil in it so that your hair won't dry out.
Hope you guys liked this small post. If you have any queries or suggestions please let me know.

Easy DIY Face Packs For Summers
Hello Fellas!
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".
Today's post is about DIY face packs for summer's.
Summer has already started and during summer's our skin tends to loose it's glow due to harsh sunlight. Despite of wearing sunscreen everyday, our skin become dull, itchy, tan. That's why our skin needs extra pamper to get back the glow. Most of us follow a daily Skin care regime but still sometimes our skin needs some extra care and DIY face packs are the best way according to me. They are natural and free of chemicals
Here I'm sharing my favorite DIY face packs for summers,So keep on reading.
1. Curd & Turmeric Face Pack - Curd has anti inflammatory properties, anti-oxidents and it's full off good bacterias which helps in nourishing our skin, improve skin complexion, reduce acne, blemishes and many more. Turmeric also helps in brighten up our skin and cure acne and scars. Take 2 tablespoon of curd and add half teaspoon of turmeric in it, mix it and apply the pack on your clean face. Keep it on for 15 minutes then rinse off with water. You can also use this pack on body. Its suitable for all skin types. Use this twice a week.
2. Aloe Vera and Honey Face Pack- Aloe Vera has amazing healing and cooling properties. It helps to reduce rashes, itching, blemishes, fine lines etc. Honey is naturally antibacterial and full of antioxidants which helps in slow down aging, moisturise your skin and gives you a glowing skin. Take 2 tablespoon of aloe vera gel and 1 tea spoon of honey, mix them together and apply all over your face and neck. Leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse off with cold water. It's suitable for all skin types. Use this pack once a week.
3.Rice Flour & Milk Face Pack- Rice Flour helps in getting rid off dead skin cells, brighten ups your skin and also remove sun tan. Milk has lactic acid in it which helps in reducing pigmentation, heal dry itchy skin and also soothes sun burns. Take 1 or 2 tablespoon of rice flour and add little bit of milk to from a paste like consistency. Apply the pack on your clean face and neck. Keep it on for 12-15 minutes then rinse off. Again this face pack is also suitable for every skin types but if milk doesn't suit you,use rose water or plain water as the mixing ingredients. Use this pack once or twice a week.
4.Egg & Honey Face Pack- Usually I love using simple egg mask without any other ingredients. I have dry skin so,I just apply the one egg yolk on my clean face keep it on for 7-10 minutes then rinse off. It gives your skin the Instant glow and if you have oily skin then apply egg white on your clean face then after 10 minutes wash it off with cold water.
But if you want that extra pamper for your skin then dry skin people can mix the egg yolk with one teaspoon of honey and oily skin people with egg white, whisk it until they are blended together. Apply it on your clean face, keep it on for 10 minutes then wash it off with water. Egg white reduces excess oiliness from the skin and egg yolk is full of moisturizing properties that nourishes dry skin. Use this pack once a week.
5. Besan & Tomato juice - We all know besan( Gram Flour) has some amazing skin benefits. It reduce oiliness, helps in removing sun tan and dead skin cells and many more. Tomato has natural bleaching agents that reduce pigmentation, signs of aging and gives you a glowing skin. Take 1 or 2 tablespoon besan and squeeze one small tomato juice in it. Mix them until you get a paste like consistency. Apply it on your clean face, leave it on for 15 minutes then wash it off with cold water. Use this face pack once a week.
