5 Different Ways To Use Oatmeal For Skin

Today's post is about different uses of oatmeal, popularly known as oats for skin. We all know that oatmeal is very good breakfast to start our day. It fights against many health issues and helps us in living a healthy life. Apart from being healthy, oats is amazingly beneficial for our skin when we apply it. 

 Oatmeal is rich in antioxidants. It has amazing skin healing, moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties that helps to repair damaged,dry,itchy skin and also cure inflammation. So,let's begin with the post.



   

1. Oatmeal Scrub - Take 1 table spoon grounded oats (not finely ground), add 1 tea spoon of honey and little bit of rose water. Mix them well and exfoliate your face for 4-5 minutes then rinse off with cold water. You can also use this scrub to exfoliate your body. It will gentlely exfoliate your skin removing all the dirt,excess oil,dead skin cells and gives you a clear skin. Use this scrub twice a week. 

 2. Oatmeal For Itchy Skin -  In summers most people faced skin problems like itching and rashes,but oats can surely solve your problem. All you need to do,if you have bathtub at your home then filled your bathtub with lukewarm water, pour 1 cup finely ground oats in the water and soak yourself in the oatmeal water for 20 minutes then rinse yourself with normal water.

 If you do not have bathtub at your home then all you need to do is cook a bowl of oats and keep it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. After that wet your body and apply the oatmeal on your body or wherever you have itchiness or redness,keep it on for 10-15mintus then wash off with normal water. You can use this oatmeal bath everyday if you have very itchy skin or else use it thrice a week.

 PS -  the 2nd process is a "jugar"😄. Actually for itchy skin you need to soak yourself in oatmeal. But I don't have bathtub at my home and I started thinking how to use oatmeal bath without a bathtub and I came up with this jugaru idea. Believe me it works,I myself use this jugaru oatmeal bath. 

3. Oatmeal For Glowing Skin -Take 1 tablespoon of finely ground oatmeal,add a pinch of turmeric and little bit of water for mixing the ingredients.Apply the paste on your clean face leave it on for 15 minutes then rinse off. It will give a natural glow to your dull skin. Use this pack once a week religiously to get the desired result. 

 4. Oats For De-Tan Skin- Tanning is the common problem during summers, due to harsh sunlight our skin become tan even after wearing sunscreen. For lighting your sun taned skin all you need to do is take 1-2 table spoon of finely ground oatmeal,add 2 - 3 tablespoon of milk and one teaspoon of honey. Mix the ingredients until you get a paste like consistency and apply it on your face or wherever you feel like applying it to de-tan you skin,wait for 10-15 minutes and scrub it off after that wash off with normal water. Use this pack twice a week. You will started noticing the difference after the use only.

 5.Oats For Hydrating Dry Skin And Remove Blackheads- For Hydrating your dry patchy skin take 2 tablespoon of oats,add table spoon of curd and few drops of essential oil of your choice. Mix the ingredients all together and apply the mask on your face ,keep it on for 8-10 minutes then rinse off with normal water. It's going to give your skin the much needed hydration and moisturise your skin at the same time. Use this mask once a week.

     For removing blackheads all the above mentioned ingredients remain the same,you just need add few drops of lemon and one teaspoon of honey in it and apply the paste only where you have blackheads. Leave it on for 10 minutes and scrub it off then wash off with normal water. Use this twice a week.
