Hello Fellas!

Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".

Today's post is little different, some of you have been emailing me to write a post about " places to visit in Guwahati" for quite sometime now.. So, in this post I will try give you a bit of information..

Guwahati is the largest city in the state of Assam. It's located beside the mighty Brahmaputra river. Guwahati is also referred as the "gateway to northeast India". This is city is an example of ancient history and modernization.

1. Kamakhya Temple -

Guwahati is the home of so many old temples but kamakhya temple is the most prominent and  visited temple here in Guwahati. This Temple is dedicated to goddess Maa Kamakhya,it is one of the 51 saktipith in India. Maa Kamakhya temple is located in the nilachal nill (there are more then 20 other temples apart from Maa Kamakhya temple in the nilachal hills). This temple hosts the ambubashi mela in the month of July every year. The large number of pilgrims come to seek blessings from Maa Kamakhya in this mela every year from across the country. When you are in Guwahati the Kamakhya maa's darshan is must..

2.Umananda Island-

This island located in the heart of mighty Brahmaputra. Umananda is world's smallest riverine island,it is also known as peacock island. There is a lord Shiva's temple named umnanda temple.
This Shiva temple was built in the island by the well known Shaivaite king of the Ahoms.

3. Assam State Museum-

Museum is the best place to understand the history and culture of a state or country.
If you want to know about the local folklore and culture, a visit to the Assam State Museum is must do thing, which gives you an authentic taste of the local history and its development through the years.

4.Guwahati Tea Auction Centre -

Assam is famous for its tea production and there is also a tea auction center situated in Guwahati
Guwahati Tea Auction Centre or GTAC, is well known for being one of the most busy auction centers for tea. It was established in 1970.

5.Sankardev Kalakshetra Museum-

Sankardev Kalakshetra or commonly known as Kalakshetra is a cultural institution located in Panjabari, Guwahati. In kalakshetra there is cultural museum, library, various facilities for preserving, demonstrating and performing cultural items.
You can take a walk down the lanes of rich ancient cultural heritage of the state of Assam and you can also watch many cultural events held here every now and then.

6.Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary -

Technically this place is not in Guwahati but few km away from the city. It's a wildlife reserve located in the Morigaon district of Assam. It's 2 hrs drive from Guwahati to Pobitora. If you are an admirer of wildlife and nature then you should definitely go there while you're in Guwahati.

Sualkuchi is also a few km away from Guwahati but it's must visit place. This place famous for its centuries old heritage of weaving.

Winter Hair Care

Hello fellas!

Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapists".

Problems like hair fall, split ends, dull & damaged hair are the common in almost every women because of pollution, hair coloring, frequent uses of heating tools for styling our hair etc. If you want to keep your hair healthy and strong then you must follow a hair care regime.
So, today I will be talk you through the easy and simple hair care routine that I'm following this winter to keep keep away these hair problems.

1.Oiling -

The first step is oiling your hair, oiling our hair at least once a week is a must do thing no matter wether it is winter or summer. These days I'm using only olive oil for my hair.. I take 3-4 tbsp of olive oil, warm it up and massage it gently on my scalp and hair length.. Messaging oil will increase the blood circulation and olive oil promotes hair growth, makes your hair soft. It can also reduce split ends. Some times I leave the oil on for 1-2 hrs or sometimes for overnight.. If you have excessive hair fall then mix castor oil with olive oil or you can use some of Khadi hair oils..(I have written a detail post regarding this I will link it down below)..

https://escapistsisters.blogspot.in/2018/01/best-hair-oils-to-reduce-hair-fall.html?m=1

2.Shampoo and conditioner  -

The 2nd step is washing your hair with a mild shampoo because it's winter so,we need to use something moisturizing for hair.. I'm using TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Shampoo infused with olive oil and camellia oil.. This shampoo gently cleanses your hair, nourishes it and leaves hair feeling soft and moisturised. After shampooing we must not skip the conditioner, for conditioner I'm using  Garnier Ultra blends 5 precious herbs consider.. This conditioner doesn't make your hair fall flat, add volume to your hair also nourishes them. This shampoo & conditioner is paraben and chemical free.

3. Hair Mask -

Our hair care routine is incomplete without a hair mask. Hair mask makes your hair stronger, softer and healthy. It will also reduce your hair fall. These days I'm using Oriflame HairX Restore Therapy Mask..This mask makes your hair so soft without weighing it down, also add little bit of volume to them. If you are someone, who uses heating and styling tool everyday then you must try this oriflame mask which helps in repairing dry and damaged hair and also prevent your hair from further damaging..

Also I love using DIY hair masks and I keep switching my DIY hair masks time to time but in winters I love to curd, honey and lemon hair mask.. Take 3 tbsp of curd,2 tbsp of honey and add half a lemon juice in it,mix them then apply from your scalp to hair tip and wash it off after 30 minutes.. This mask help in strengthen, nourishes the hair and also helps in reducing dandruff which is a common problem during winters.. I use hair mask thrice a month..

4. Serum -

After washing your hair, pet it dry with a towel and when your hair is in damp state apply a hair serum on your hair length. It will give shine to your hair and also moisturises your hair. Currently I am using my all time  favorite serum liveon which I think doesn't need any introduction!!

5.Biotique Mountain Ebony Vitalizing Serum-

I have been using biotique mountain ebony serum for quite some time now, though it's called a serum but the texture of this product is very watery and you need to massage it on your scalp.. It reduces hair fall and makes your hair strong.. I love to massage my hair with this serum every night before going to bed.. (Detail review is already up on my blog about this serum. If you haven't checked it yet,I  will link it down)
