Salon Style Facial At Home

Hello fellas !

Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".

Today I'm going to talk about my at home Facial routine.

Facial is a spa therapy that makes our skin clean, softer, younger and helps in relaxing facial muscles. Facials are essential part of our skin care regime but doing facial at salons in every 15 days is time consuming and quite heavy on pocket. But you can do facial spa with the help of few products in the comfort zone of your home.

So,here I'm sharing my at home facial routine that I follow religiously once in a week. This facial routine is very easy, affordable and it hardly takes an hour. I divided my facial routine into 6 Steps.

First of all pull your hair back from your face with the help of a hairband or hair clip and then begin with the steps

1.Cleansing - First if you have any make up on remove it with the help of any make up remover, cleansing balm or coconut oil. After that clean your face with mild face wash that suits your skin.I'm using my all time favorite Clean & Clear foaming face wash. This step is very important as it will remove the dirt, oil and your leftover make-up from your face.

Take pea sized amount of face wash and rub gentlely on your face for not more then 45 Secs. and wash it off with water.

2.Exfoliate - After cleaning your face you  need to exfoliate your skin. It will help you to remove dead skin cells that clog your pores, blackheads, whiteheads and makes your skin brighten and healthy.

These days I'm using VLCC Skin Defense Indian Bearberry Face Scrub but you may use any.

Apply the scrub onto your face and massage gently in circular motion for 2-3 minutes then rinse off with cold water.

3.Steaming - Steaming is very important and relaxing part of facial spa. It works as a detoxifier, it opens your skin pores, release excess oil, bacteria, dirt and helps your skin to absorb the goodness of facial spa.

Here I'm sharing 3 ways to do facial steaming at home.

1.Put your face on top of a facial steamer for 4-5 minutes. If you don't have facial steamer at home then there are other ways to do it. Keep on reading 😀

2.Take a big bowl and pour some hot water in it and put your face over the bowl by draping a towel over your head for 5-7 minutes. Draping the towel over head helps your skin to soak up the steam properly. But remember you should get warm not hot,so do not get lean too close to the hot water bowl.

3.The Third method is just dip a towel into hot water, squeeze it little bit and placed it over your face for 4 minutes then remove the towel and again do the same process for another 4 minutes.

PS - Once you are done with your steaming, I suggest you to wait for 5 minutes before proceeding to next step because after steaming your skin needs little time to get back to its normal temperature. You can also rub an ice cube over your face to bring your sikn temperature to normal and it will also help you tighten the skin.(sometimes I use this ice cubes process and sometimes not).

4. Face pack -These days Pollution, Harmful UV rays of sun, stress etc are damaging our skin as a result our skin become dull, dry, unhealthy and full of acne.

So Face packs are must have skin care product to deal with all the above mentioned problems. Face packs helps in enhance the blood circulation,Clam your skin and makes your skin soft, healthy, youthful and radiant.

You can use any face pack of your choice that suits your skin or you can make your own natural face packs ( I will share my DIY face packs in some other post). Currently I'm using Patanjali  Multani Mitti with mineral clay & Aloe Vera face pack. This one works really well for me.

All you need to do is just apply the face pack evenly all over your face and neck leaving your eyes & eye brows with the help of a facepack brush or your hands but make sure to clean your brush and hands before applying the pack. Let it dry for 15 minutes and rinse off with cold water.

5.Toning -  Now continue the facial routine by using any face toner of your choice. I like using Dabur Gulabari Rose water.Rose water has so many skin benefits.Toning will refresh, nourish your skin and make your skin glow more.

Apply the toner all over your face with the help of a cotton pad.

6.Moisturizer - The last step of  my at home Facial routine is moisturize the sikn. Everybody knows the benefits of a moisturizer. It hydrates your skin and make the skin soft supple, glowing and gives the full nourishment to skin.

You may use any moisturizing cream or lotion that suits your skin. Currently I'm using my DIY moisturizer. It nourishes the skin and gives much needed hydration to my skin.

Take the right quantity of moisturiser according to your need, rub it between your plumes and apply gentlely in circular motion on to your face in upward direction.
