In dry, itchy winters our skin needs extra care and what would be better than pampering your skin with home made face masks with natural ingredients. So,here I'm sharing my favorite DIY face masks which I love using.....
1. Aloe and honey face mask -
This mask is my favorite in winters. Take 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel (you can use fresh aloe vera extract from the plant or you can use the market one's. it's totally up to you) and add 1 teaspoon of honey in it mix them together and apply it on your face, leave it on for 10-15 minutes then rinse off with water. It will give you a moisturised, soft and healthy skin. You can use this mask twice a week.Aloe vera gel has tons of skin benefits. It is very hydrating,it rejuvenate your dull skin and also has anti aging properties. Honey is antibacterial, anti inflammatory that helps in fight against acne and also honey has amazing moisturising properties.
2. Olive oil and Egg yolk face mask -
Egg yolk is very Hydrating & moisturising that works wonder for dry and flaky skin and olive oil is enriched with vitamin E ,k and antioxidants. These two ingredients will make your skin glow in winters.Take 1-2 egg yolks, add half a tea spoon of Olive oil in it,mix them together and apply the mask on your face with the help of a flat brush. Keep it on for 15-20 minutes then wash it off with water. Use this mask twice a week .
3. Banana Mask -
Banana contains vitamin like A,C,E etc which are so beneficial for skin. It nourishes and moisturises the skin. It has anti aging properties that soothes the fine lines & wrinkles and it also helps in fade away the dark spots .
Mash a ripe banana and apply the mash banana on your face,if you want you can add 1 teaspoon of honey in it but it's optional. Keep it on for 15 minutes and rinse off with water. Use this mask twice a week.
4. Gram Flour(Besan) and milk face pack-
Besan works as a great exfoliant and maintain the skin pH balance. Milk nourishes your skin cells and make your skin feel soft, helps in lightening pigmentation.
Take 1-2 tbsp of besan and use milk as the mixing ingredient. If you have acne problem then you can also add a pinch of turmeric in it,turmeric is antibacterial in nature that helps in fight against acne. Now mix the ingredients together until it forms paste and apply the paste on your face. Leave it on for 15 minutes, for removing the pack need to rub it off to the opposite direction of your facial hair growth,so that you can get rid ofd your small facial hair at the same time. After that wash off your face with water. Use this mask twice a week.
5. Coffee Mask -
Take 1 tbsp of coffee powder, add 1 teaspoon of olive oil and milk as a mixing ingredient. Apply the mixture on your face, leave it on for 15 minutes then scrub it off. After that wash off your face with water. This mask will make your soft, supple and glowing.
Coffee is a magical ingredient for skin. The caffeine present in the coffee has anti inflammatory properties,it can repair the skin damages caused by UV rays. It also works great on exfoliating dead skin cells and helps in regenerate new skin cells. Use this mask once in a week.
