Everyday Skincare Routine
Hello Fellas!
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".
Today's post is about daily skincare routine. It is very important to follow a daily morning and night skincare routine in order to keep your skin healthy and glowing. The main steps of skincare is CTM. CTM means cleansing, toning & moisturizing, but apart from these steps, there are few other steps you need to add in your daily skin care regime. So, here I'm sharing my daily morning skincare routine.
1.Cleansing - The First step of skin care routine is to clean you face. You need to clean your face at least twice a day with any face wash that suits you, currently I'm using Himalaya herbals purifying neem face wash. It is very gentle on skin and a perfect face wash for winter. Cleansing will help you to get rid off all the dirt, excess oil and make your skin feel fresh. It also helps your skin to absorb all the goodness of the products that you are going apply after cleaning your face.
2.Exfoliating - Second step is to exfoliate your skin. It will remove dead skin cells, blackheads and whiteheads from your face. You can use any face scrub of your choice or else you can make your natural DIY face scrub. These days I'm using Clean & Clear blackhead clearing daily scrub. Take little bit of scrub,Spread it all over your face and rub gentlely in circular motion for 2-3 minutes. Remember Scrub your face only twice a week.
3. Toning - Toning is the 3rd step but it would be the 2nd step when you are not exfoliating your skin. Toning will balance the PH level of your skin, helps in tightening your pores and also soothes your skin. I am using rose water by Dabur Gulabari, you can use any toner of your choice. Spread the toner all over your face with the help of a cotton pad or cotton ball.
4. Serum - A face serum is the first product you need apply after cleansing and toning. It will help to minimize pores and prevents new breakouts. It Also helps your skin to lock all the good properties of the moisturiser you are going to apply afterward. I'm using Patanjali Aloe Vera gel as a face serum. Take pea sized amount of it and spread gently all over your face, believe me it works exactly like any other face serum you will find in the market.
5.Moisturizing - After applying serum it is very important to apply a moisturizer. Take little bit moisturiser on your finger tip and massage gentlely in circular motion all over your face in upward direction. It will nourish your skin and keep your skin hydrated. Always choose moisturizer according to your skin type. I'm using nivea soft light moisturiser. This is a light weight moisturizing cream enrich with vitamin E that perfect for everyday use.
6.Sunscreen- The finnal and most important step of morning skin care routine is to apply a sunscreen. Never ever forget to wear a sunscreen otherwise your whole skin care routine will go in vain. Sunscreens will protect your skin from harmful UV rays that can cause sun burns, wrinkles and fine lines. I love using Neutrogena Ultra -Sheer dry touch sunblock. It is a light weight sunblock cream that doesn't feels greasy at all and perfectly suitable for any skin type.
7. Lip Balm - Lastly, your lips are also equally important as your skin. So,don't forget to apply a lip balm. It will keep your lips moisturise and hydrated. Currently I'm using Biotique bio aloe vera lip balm. This is an amazing lip balm that heals chapped lips so fast and makes your lips soft & supple.
These are the steps of my morning skin care routine. Now coming to night skin care routine,my night skin care regime is also same as the morning but if you have any make up on then you need to remove make up first before using face wash. Also need to skip exfoliation and sunscreen at night. The steps goes like,
1. Removing make up, 2.Cleansing, 3.Toning, 4.Apply Serum, 5.Moisturizing and 6.apply lip balm.
Hope you find this post helpful and if you have any queries or suggestions please let us know.

Aloe Vera is known as "Miracle Plant" and indeed it acts as miracle. Aloe Vera is enrich with vitamin A,vitamin E ,vitamin C that makes it very beneficial for skin & hair care and it also has gibberellin , gibberellins are antibacterial in nature which helps in healing any kind of scars.
You will find lots of brand selling aloe vera gel in the market. You can choose anyone or if you have aloe plant at home then you can extract fresh aloe vera gel from aloe vera leaf.
I'm using Patanjali Aloe Vera gel, it is 90% aloe Vera gel with some preservatives and this is one of the best aloe vera gel available in market. It is very affordable and works wonders for me.I recommend everyone to give it a try at least once. It comes in 2 different sizes
60ml - 40 Rs.
150ml-80 Rs.
Now let's begin with the Aloe Vera gel hacks.
1.Under Eye Gel- I'm using aloe Vera gel as a under eye gel for past one year, believe me it works pretty much same as those expensive under eye cream or gel.
All you need to do is take little bit of aloe Vera gel on your ring fingers and massage gentlely around your eyes for 1 minute, every night before going to bed. It will enhance the blood circulation , moisturise your dry under eye area and also helps in reducing dark circles & puffiness around your eyes.

Now close the bottle with its cap and shake bottle really well to mix the the ingredients all together. you can also use this face mist as make up setting spray because we add glycerin in it,glycerin will help your make up to stay in place. But don't worry about the stickiness of glycerin because aloe & water will balance it.
Make sure shake the bottle before every use. In summers you need to store it in refrigerator and in winter you can can store it in room temperature for 15 - 20 days.
3.Make Up Primer - It is very essential to apply a primer before applying make up because it makes your make up long lasting and smooth. Also it creates a wall between make up products and your skin so the make up can't harm your skin. But buying a primer every now and then can be little heavy on pocket, so you can use aloe vera gel as a make up Primer. Believe me it will make your make up stick so long to its place as any make up primer does and it is also going to moisturise your skin as well. All you need to do is just take a pea size amount of aloe vera gel and gently spread it all over your face then start applying your make up.

Tintless Lip Balms Under Rs 200
Hello Fellas!

The skin on our lips are thinner than our facial skin because of that our lips tends to get dry and chapped easily. We all must use a lip balm in order keep our lips moisturize, healthy and Hydrated, so your lips doesn't dry out.
There are tons of different lip balms you will find in the market. You can pick anyone according to your need n like but one thing you should keep in mind while buying a lip balm is, if you are going to use the lip balm mostly in the day time then it should have SPF because your lips also needs protection against UV rays of sun.
Here I'm sharing some of my favorite lip balms under rupees 200. I love tintless lip balms more then tinted ones. So all the lip balms I'm going to mention below are tintless.( I will share about my favorite tinted lip balms in some other post).
1. VLCC Lovable Lips Strawberry - VLCC Lovable Lips comes in various shades & flavors but my favorite is lovable lips strawberry. The packaging of the product is cute but the cap of the lip balm is a bit loose.
The texture of this lip balm is kinda waxy but smooth and gives a little bit of tint in matte finish but without drying out my lips which I like the most about it.
This lip balm is enrich with the jojoba & almond oil and vitamin E that heals chapped lips, provides miniaturization to your lips but you need to reapply it after 2-3 hrs. It has SPF 15, smells also nice and doesn't feel heavy on lips. Best for summers than winters.
Pros- 1. Affordable.
2. It has SPF 15 which makes it perfect for day time.
Cons- 1. It doesn't keep your lips hydrated for long time.
2.Packaging is not travel friendly.
It retails 125 Rs for 4.5 gm .
2.Nivea Original Lip Care- This is one of my favorite lip balm. It has shea butter that nourishes your lips and keeps them hydrated and moisturise. The fragrance is also very nice but it feels little heavy on lips. This is a transparent lip balm that you can wear underneath your lipstick. It is suitable for all seasons but works wonders in winter. You need to reapply it after 3-4 hrs.
Pros- 1. Pocket friendly.

Salon Style Facial At Home
Hello fellas !
Welcome back to our blog "BeyoubyEscapist".
Today I'm going to talk about my at home Facial routine.
Facial is a spa therapy that makes our skin clean, softer, younger and helps in relaxing facial muscles. Facials are essential part of our skin care regime but doing facial at salons in every 15 days is time consuming and quite heavy on pocket. But you can do facial spa with the help of few products in the comfort zone of your home.
So,here I'm sharing my at home facial routine that I follow religiously once in a week. This facial routine is very easy, affordable and it hardly takes an hour. I divided my facial routine into 6 Steps.
First of all pull your hair back from your face with the help of a hairband or hair clip and then begin with the steps
1.Cleansing - First if you have any make up on remove it with the help of any make up remover, cleansing balm or coconut oil. After that clean your face with mild face wash that suits your skin.I'm using my all time favorite Clean & Clear foaming face wash. This step is very important as it will remove the dirt, oil and your leftover make-up from your face.
Take pea sized amount of face wash and rub gentlely on your face for not more then 45 Secs. and wash it off with water.
2.Exfoliate - After cleaning your face you need to exfoliate your skin. It will help you to remove dead skin cells that clog your pores, blackheads, whiteheads and makes your skin brighten and healthy.
These days I'm using VLCC Skin Defense Indian Bearberry Face Scrub but you may use any.
Apply the scrub onto your face and massage gently in circular motion for 2-3 minutes then rinse off with cold water.
3.Steaming - Steaming is very important and relaxing part of facial spa. It works as a detoxifier, it opens your skin pores, release excess oil, bacteria, dirt and helps your skin to absorb the goodness of facial spa.
Here I'm sharing 3 ways to do facial steaming at home.
1.Put your face on top of a facial steamer for 4-5 minutes. If you don't have facial steamer at home then there are other ways to do it. Keep on reading 😀
2.Take a big bowl and pour some hot water in it and put your face over the bowl by draping a towel over your head for 5-7 minutes. Draping the towel over head helps your skin to soak up the steam properly. But remember you should get warm not hot,so do not get lean too close to the hot water bowl.
3.The Third method is just dip a towel into hot water, squeeze it little bit and placed it over your face for 4 minutes then remove the towel and again do the same process for another 4 minutes.
PS - Once you are done with your steaming, I suggest you to wait for 5 minutes before proceeding to next step because after steaming your skin needs little time to get back to its normal temperature. You can also rub an ice cube over your face to bring your sikn temperature to normal and it will also help you tighten the skin.(sometimes I use this ice cubes process and sometimes not).
4. Face pack -These days Pollution, Harmful UV rays of sun, stress etc are damaging our skin as a result our skin become dull, dry, unhealthy and full of acne.
So Face packs are must have skin care product to deal with all the above mentioned problems. Face packs helps in enhance the blood circulation,Clam your skin and makes your skin soft, healthy, youthful and radiant.
You can use any face pack of your choice that suits your skin or you can make your own natural face packs ( I will share my DIY face packs in some other post). Currently I'm using Patanjali Multani Mitti with mineral clay & Aloe Vera face pack. This one works really well for me.
All you need to do is just apply the face pack evenly all over your face and neck leaving your eyes & eye brows with the help of a facepack brush or your hands but make sure to clean your brush and hands before applying the pack. Let it dry for 15 minutes and rinse off with cold water.
5.Toning - Now continue the facial routine by using any face toner of your choice. I like using Dabur Gulabari Rose water.Rose water has so many skin benefits.Toning will refresh, nourish your skin and make your skin glow more.
Apply the toner all over your face with the help of a cotton pad.
6.Moisturizer - The last step of my at home Facial routine is moisturize the sikn. Everybody knows the benefits of a moisturizer. It hydrates your skin and make the skin soft supple, glowing and gives the full nourishment to skin.
You may use any moisturizing cream or lotion that suits your skin. Currently I'm using my DIY moisturizer. It nourishes the skin and gives much needed hydration to my skin.
Take the right quantity of moisturiser according to your need, rub it between your plumes and apply gentlely in circular motion on to your face in upward direction.
PS- If you want to know how I make my DIY moisturizer please DM me on Instagram dasbanasri and I will share my recipe in our blog.
Hope you liked this post and it may help you to get clear & glowing skin. Let us know about your experiences after following this facial routine. If you have any queries and suggestions please DM us on instagram or comment below.
